Songs of Tears

Covid become one among the trade of neighbouring friends; sufferings become daily bread oceans of tears for dried heart. They even restrict the last kiss allotted for their beloved’s burial, wrapped with clouds of mystery bag , many hearts wept by realizing. Yesterday's a live smile turns into today's frozen lips of cold blood, string of happiness had gone. Chambers of heart separate becomes a fragment of grief; years of harvest of love and joy spin into an hour of ashes; Poverty and pain are the fixed image of each retina of groundlings. Dawn of happiness vanished burial denied fragrance of fire emerge, searing wind brings ashes of beloveds. Weep from the deep sea of separation, sob from the colourless field of life, tears from the endless pain of memories. Flowers upon her graveyard are the gift Of daughter’s affection to mother’s love; gift of unshed flower message her she is fine in the hands of nature. -S. Neethumol (20ENG5

He and We

It was the time we were loving busy, And her name was Susie. We both liked each other, And it made her to be a mother.   I don’t know yet how he came, but he came and became fame. People fearfully called him Corona , Yes, He is a death arena .   He spread his vigorous wings onto the world, I think he belongs to the cold. He tried to get myself, But he got my elf.   The time she became the mother to unborn, End of the day he won. Set apart me from my mine, And I really know she will be with the divine, Because her bright beauty and her inner self is so mighty.   I never saw failures in my life, But I fell down because she was my wife. Whatever it is, she is gone and will never ever born. The time I was filled with sadness, The same time made me be filled with madness. -Lenin 19ENG114

Our Honourable King!

Here comes! Here comes! The messenger of nature, Here comes! Here comes! The saviour of students, Oh! Our Honourable King!   He sails from his territory (China), to all over the world, To colonize it all. Though, before, he warns! Oh! Our Honourable King!   As the water freezes, when the cold wind strikes. The whole world stopped, when our king just stepped. Oh! Our Honourable King!   Days became nights and Nights became days, To the people in the world Locked up in their cells. Oh! Our Honourable King!   The nature is renewed, So, the animals are in joy. The Sensex is collapsed, So, the labourers say, ‘goodbye’. Oh! Our Honourable King!   As our king walks out, All the people runs in, All the doors shuts down. Now the offline companies are closed, So, the online companies are opened.   As our King walks in the students are waiting, For their exams still; And the teachers are waiting, For their salary still.   Oh! Our

I Sit and Lookout

Before the virus, everything was normal in the world. I saw in schools, in colleges, in houses, everywhere,   People were happy, but now it’s abnormal. Now I observe the world is in panic and sobs,   Now I see people with face masks and sad faces, But it’s blissful to have more time with my parents and I have more days to play. I’m afraid that many families and friends will get sick, We cannot see but the virus can see us. It has no words of mercy. It can kill a person in a minute. I miss many sweet faces of my college friends, I miss many tours with my friends, relatives, and enjoyment.    I dream many dreams about my sweet friends like we are going to the parks to skate and to watch the movies. But when the pandemic and lockdown happened, we became the best friend of mobile phones playing games or wasting our precious time. I hope that it will end so soon and we will

VOICELESS ALIENS

A colossal wrath of cosmic After Aeons upon, The realms of mortals.   Heavenly Saviour who is impartial Is now in an aviary, Because of the alienated zombies.   The Celestial rage emits on the Unjust World Life transformed and halt, In fear, restlessness and wails heard.   A Close Call Not to glance the fury of Demiurge, A beauteous solitary To couple soulfully, With the pleasures and leisure’s of life.   In the hellish vampiristic abode A squeaker for far afield, Where all wight try to abscond To be prophesied by Holy Ghost, With no Redemption but only Resurrection To all voiceless aliens. I can’t wait till the end Until I meet my friend.   My most favourite playtimes Were turned into online talk time. I miss the times I spent in college, Which is major enjoyment of life.   When I stuck in isolation I learnt a lot. N. Ridhu Varshini 19ENG222

Nature’s Time

We, in the Heavenly world, Where pleasurable word positive, Enhances constraint in Human active; Alarm for the Sinful creatures, Emerged with positive features; Disguised faces makeover with masks Respiring race had frightened tasks; Works for the future made a Halt Curfew, blended in life like a salt; It’s the time to perceive That negative also there to retrieve; Where the world runs with senseless hurry The Tutor confessed everything is temporary. Life trained to being positive, Come up smiling for having negative, We there to say I’m sadly positive, And I’m gladly negative. Being positive is toughened, Having positive becomes frightened; Being negative is awful, Having negative becomes cheerful. It’s Nature’s time to reveal, What Human’s fail to heal. O.Sunmathi 20ENG513
